The company was established in 1959 by Johann Lukas. In 1960 LUKAS started with production of electrical switchgear for hydro-power-plants, short time later with manufacturing steel constructions for hydro-power-machinery. Up to now, LUKAS hydro-power section has realized more than 650 projects.
